Thorens DM-207 Cork Rubber Turntable Mat for 300mm turntable is made from a composite of balsa bark and rubber powder. Unlike pure cork products, this mixture has increased tensile strength and is able to more reliably dampen vibrations of the record being played. In addition, it is this mixture that provides the product with antistatic characteristics, that is, it does not collect dust, which can then be transferred to recording. Works with most turntables on the market, but it gives best results when combined with a metal platter.
