Beginning with a ‘never before’ Vinyl disc of Indian master musician –Zohra Bai
Agrewali, Tara Disc Records unfurls 12 superlative tracks of Indian music genres of Khyal, Tarana, Thumri, Kajri, Ghazal, etc.
Zohra (died in 1913) was undoubtedly one of the finest Ustad vocalists of the last
century having a huge fan following including stalwarts like Ustad Fayyaz Khan,
Pandit Narayanrao Vyas, Pandit Bhimsen Joshi, etc. The LP record features her
rarest recording, that of Tarana in Raag Palas. The other noteworthy track is of her highly popular Ghazal “Peeke hum tum jo chale” which has inspired generations of musicians and has been included in several films in different versions.
