My uncle was a vinyl head and got to learn a few things from him. As he passed away, I took over some of his collection. I am still an amature but hv fallen in love with vinyls. There is certain charm and history to them.
Which is the most valuable record in your collection?
Old record of Ustad Alla Rakha
Tell us about your turntable setup.
I have a Sansui SR222 Belt Drive from my late uncle. Trying to get it repaired. Need to find a reliable person in Pune to fix it.
Any advice to people that are about to start their collection?
Vinyl records are emotional buys. At the same time they are not cheap, so when collecting think twice whether you will really listen to it later or not.
