Tell us your Vinyl Story

I started collecting Vinyls before i even owned a vinyl player. As someone who's super passionate about music and worked in the industry for a decade, it was important for me personally to start collecting records that were works of art in their truest recording form. Couple of years ago, my partner bought me a vinyl player as a gift and then it really got me collecting more & more albums. I've already begin wondering when i might want to upgrade my player and speakers from the introductory set.

Which is the most valuable record in your collection?

Value isn't financial in my eyes. Most prized would be a Toss up between the U2 Joshua Tree 25yr rerelease & Stardust's Music sounds Better with you single (also a 25yr re-release)

Tell us about your turntable setup.

Its a Marantz TT 5005 paired with active speaker set of an Edifier 1700DB. I have these set up under my TV, with the speakers doubling up as TV speakers to listen to other music sources too

Any advice to people that are about to start their collection?

Start as quick as you can, and be consistent about it. Adding atleast 1 every month will lead you to having a fulfilling collection before you know it, and sometimes its worth spending a little extra on those rare records..
