·
A recent survey discovered that Generation Z is embracing physical music formats more than any other age demographic.
Conducted by Key Production, the UK’s largest vinyl packaging company, the study revealed that 59% of 18-24-year-olds prefer listening to physical music releases, a notable increase compared to the 40-45% reported by older age groups ranging from 25 to 65.

Moreover, when it comes to purchasing CDs, the 18-24 age group, along with the 45-54 bracket, led the way, with 34% of respondents in each group indicating they buy CDs.
Another significant discovery was that 71% of 18-24-year-olds were willing to pay a premium for vinyl LPs if they were produced in a more environmentally friendly manner.

Sales in the vinyl market have been on the rise for 16 consecutive years, with artists like Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, and Arctic Monkeys among the best sellers.

Karen Emanuel, CEO of Key Production, expressed optimism about the resurgence of physical music among younger generations.
The survey also found that older age groups were also willing to pay more for sustainable products, although to a lesser extent than the younger demographic.
