The Ultra-Rare Pink Floyd Comic Book

Pink Floyd is without a doubt one of the most successful and longest-lived rock bands ever. Rising from the ashes of 60’s psychedelia they forged a certain niche in rock history experimenting with the outer space concepts and developing a musical style capable of sustaining their dazzling and potentially overwhelming sonic wizardry.
Their 8th studio album "Dark Side of the Moon" is perhaps the most complete concept album of all time. The immaculate sound engineered by Alan Parsons (yes, the one with the project) and that immensely iconic album art designed by Aubrey Powell and Storm Thorgerson of Hipgnosis are often talked about till date.
Moreover, the album remained a staggering 741 weeks on the charts (over 14 years) and has sold an estimated 50 million copies worldwide. Besides, the insurmountable trove of urban legend, recordings and memorabilia left behind in the wake of their gargantuan career is worthy of admiration.
Accompanying the 1975 tours of the said album Storm Thorgerson had designed an eye-catching 15-page comic book. As serious as the "Dark Side of the Moon" subject matter was, a glance at the comic rather reflects otherwise. It is populated by quick tales, one for each member.
Roger Waters becomes ‘Rog’ a champion footballer, Nick Mason becomes ‘Captain Mason’, a daring ship captain, Richard Wright plays ‘Rich Right’ a chick magnet, and David Gilmour becomes ‘Dave Derring’ a daring motorcyclist.
Perhaps the most fun is the silly questionnaire called ‘Life Lines’ that is answered by each band member in a flippant, smart-ass variety. It’s no surprise the comic book has become somewhat of a collector's item since its publication.
