Bloodywood: The Indian Metal Band Taking The World By Storm
From being a parody cover metal band to taking over the world with its unique sound - that is quintessentially Indian - Bloodywood has come a long way. The sound they have managed to capture seamlessly mashes Indian Folk instruments (primarily centered around Punjabi folk music) with Metal.
The band describes their sound as a wild amalgamation of eastern and western influences. It's Indian at its core but with a universal message. “It’s Metal with Masala” as expressed in an interview by Jayant Bhadola, one of the vocalists.
Since the start, the band has been garnering enormous amounts of views on social media for their unique metal covers of pop songs including Ari Ari, Shape of You, and Despacito. What really changed things was when they started getting attention from the likes of Illeana D’Cruz. Struck by the inspiration they pushed to compose original tracks to take on the world by storm.
The band hopes to make a difference with their music describing it as a saviour that wishes to protect and provide strength to tackle the challenges in one's life, besides adding value with a positive influence, beyond everything.
Their latest album ‘Rakshak’ has already been a winner garnering rave reviews from almost all the major metal magazines in the world. Although they have already been on a European tour with a pitstop at the Wacken Open Air - Mecca for metal heads - they will embark on a long-awaited tour starting from Fuji RockFest ‘22 Japan, and then heading towards Europe, the UK, and the US.
Bloodywood - RakShak (Red and Black Splatter Vinyl) available now as a part of Request A Record.
