Audio Technica LP120X-USB: The Best Entry Level Audiophile Turntable In India (2023)

Audio-Technica AT-LP120xUSB is the updated model to the industry standard mid-range direct-drive turntable the AT-LP120. Released in 2019, the USB variant adds several needed improvements and refinements while retaining the charm of its predecessor.

The AT-LP120xUSB is a direct-drive turntable, meaning it is powered by a large DC servo motor, allowing for a quicker start and smoother playback while using less energy.

The turntable is entirely manually operated, meaning it has three selectable speeds (33, 45, and 73 RPM), a variable pitch control with quartz pitch lock, a die-cast aluminium stroboscopic platter with speed indicator, damped base construction for reduced low-frequency feedback coloration, a balanced S-shaped tonearm with hydraulically damped lift control, and lockable rest for smooth, accurate performance.

Additionally, it has a USB port that you can use to transfer music from records to your computer and a switchable phono preamp for phono or line-level output.

It comes with the 1/2"-mount universal headshell AT-HS6 with the AT95E Dual Magnet phono cartridge and an elliptical stylus, a felt record mat, a detachable hinged dust cover, a plug-type stylus light, Mac and PC compatible Audacity recording software (free download), RCA cable, USB cable, and a 45 RPM adapter.
