The Sound Of Voices: Voctronica | Spinout With Verus Ferreira

It is a visual treat to watch a group of people produce music without any instruments. Avinash Tewari (beatbox, bass), Warsha Easwar (vocals, brass, strings), Aditi Ramesh (vocals, brass, strings), Arjun Nair (bass, vocals), Clyde Rodrigues (vocals, brass, strings) and Nagesh Reddy (beatbox) are India’s most in-tune a-cappella band, Voctronica. Last month, the band gave a befitting 'acapella' tribute to the Justice League theme song by interlacing the theme into their fan-made trailer of director Zack Snyder's Justice League, Arjun Nair stated that actor Ray Fisher (Cyborg), Ray Porter (Darkseid) and The Official Film handle interacted, tweeted and shared this release to the world.
The band was set up by world-renowned beatboxer, Shlomo (UK), along with MC Testament (UK), Sony Music India and British Council India way back in 2011 and has had band members come and go. Comprising of a melodious blend of beat-boxers, Indian classical, pop, blues and rock vocalists, Voctronica brings to you the real power of the human voice.
Over the years the band has gained popularity across India and has further gone on to be the first and only act representing India at the Moscow Spring A Cappella Festival that hosted 195 vocal acts from around the world.
Besides performing at many Indian music festivals, in August 2019 they were invited to Japan as the first-ever Indian band to participate in the Asian Cup A Cappella competition where they won the Silver Award. Their live performance showcases a mix of originals along with popular English and Hindi covers presented in a highly interactive performance and the band has developed a sound and style that is unique and undeniably infectious. Despite drawing from an eclectic set of musical genres like pop, folk, Bollywood, dubstep and electronica, the band merges their musical sensibilities to put forth one-of-a-kind interpretations of tracks across multiple genres.
The band has released loads of work from medleys of songs by Amit Trivedi, a tribute to A. R. Rahman and the most popular being the Ad Medley a retro touch on the most favorite Indian advertisements of the days gone by.
